Woman kills biker after driving on wrong side of road for 20 minutes

A driver who killed a motorcyclist while talking on her hands-free mobile phone has been found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving.

Samantha Ayres hit 26-year-old biker David Kirk while driving on the wrong side of the road in Horsington west of Horncastle last November.

Ayres, who's 34 and from Horncastle, claimed a pot hole had caused her to lose control but there was no evidence to support it.

Mr Kirk, the father of a two year old daughter, died at the scene. Sentencing at Lincoln Crown Court was adjourned
