Police release name of pedestrian killed in Morley
Police have released the name of a pedestrian who died after being hit by a car in Morley as they make a fresh appeal for witnesses.
Michael Strong was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa on Middleton Road near to the junction with Clough Street on October 16. The 30-year-old was walking with another man on the carriageway when the incident happened. He was taken to hospital suffering serious injuries but later died.
The 29-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injuries by dangerous driving. The car was recovered nearby and the driver was released from custody pending further investigation.
A police spokesman said:" We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, the circumstances leading up to it or witnessed the manner of driving of the Corsa. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage."
