Emergency services dealing with 'chemical incident' at Barnsley Academy
Emergency services are dealing with a reported 'chemical incident' at Barnsley Academy this afternoon where some pupils and staff have complained of medical symptoms.
In a statement, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said it is assisting the police and ambulance service at the scene, and although the nature of the incident has not been determined, there is no cause for public alarm.
The school said all pupils are being looked after until they are given the all-clear by the fire brigade.
