West Yorkshire arrests in Neo-Nazi raids
Two men have been arrested in West Yorkshire this morning on suspicion of being members of the banned neo-nazi group National Action.
Counter-terrorism officers raided homes in Leeds and Sowerby Bridge, and detained the men aged 26 and 23 respectively. Nine other men were also arrested during co-ordinated raids across the country.
The arrests follow activity earlier this month by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit. National Action are an extreme right wing group that were banned by the Government last December.
Detective Chief Superintendent Martin Snowden has recently been appointed as the new Head of Counter Terrorism Policing North East (North East Counter Terrorism Unit).
