Zef Eisenberg is back in the saddle one year on from horror crash

Zef Eisenberg has returned to the scene of the crash that nearly cost him his life - just a year ago - at Elvington Airfield near York

It was during last year’s Straightliners Top Speed event that Zef lost control of his MADMAX helicopter turbine powered motorcycle at 230mph and crashed in spectacular fashion at the end of the runway.

He was treated at the scene by the event’s medical support team before being airlifted to hospital for what turned out to be months of treatment for a broken pelvis and countless other injuries, followed by many more months’ recovery at home in Guernsey.

Zef was able to personally thank the medical team who probably saved his life. Amazingly Zef wasn’t at Elvington to spectate, he was ready to race again with his newly built replacement turbine motorcycle.
