Charity song released to raise awareness of late Dr Kate Granger's #hellomynameis campaign
A special song written to raise awareness of the late Dr Kate Granger's #hellomynameis campaign has broken into the top 10 of the Itunes download charts.
The song was written and recorded by an Asda House colleague of Kate's husband Chris Pointon and will raise funds St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds.
The #hellomynameis campaign was created by Kate, who died last year following a five-year cancer battle, while she was going through treatment.
The Huddersfield doctor became frustrated at the number of staff who failed to introduce themselves to her when she was in hospital and inspired thousands of people in health care and other industries to do so.
Kate's campaign has raised around £325,000 for good causes since its inception and it is hoped that figure can hit £500,000 by 2018.
