Video report by Umar Farouq
Hundreds of amateur sailors embarked on an 11-month adventure around the world's waters over the weekend.
More than 700 of them with little or no experience of life at sea set sail in the 11th bi-annual Clipper Round the World Yacht Race which started in Liverpool.
They included two people from Yorkshire.
The bi-annual Clipper Race will cover 40,000 nautical miles, across six continents and six ocean crossings.
There are eight legs in total with sailors going through Cape Town, Sydney and New York.
