Daughter of Bomber Command veteran walks in father's memory

It was one of the most brutal events of the Second World War - but the so-called 'long-march' remains one of the least known.

Some 10,000 prisoners of war were force-marched by their German captors - in freezing temperatures - as they fled the advancing Russian army.

Now, the daughter of one of those prisoners, a Bomber Command veteran has finished a long march of her own to Lincoln's memorial spire in her father's memory.

Linda Meredith also raised money for the International Bomber Command Centre.
