A pair of armed robbers who tied up a family and held them at gunpoint have been jailed for a combined total of 32 years.

Luke Bonsall and John Proctor broke into the house in Dronfield in the middle of the night and threatened the family inside.

One of the robbers then threatened to shoot one of the children unless they agreed to their demands.

Bonsall and Proctor, both aged 37 and from Sheffield, then escaped with several thousand pounds in cash in the robbery, which happened on the night of March 19, 2015.

Both men have now been sent to prison for 16 years each after being found guilty by a jury of conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to possess an imitation firearm with intent to commit a robbery.

They were jailed at Derby Crown Court on Friday, June 16.
