Police appeal after girl, 12, hit by car on her way to school

Police in Lincolnshire are appealing for witnesses after a girl was hit by a car on her way to school.

The 12-year-old was walking to school at 8.30am and was struck by a vehicle when she was crossing the road on the Drove, Sleaford.

The incident happened near Lidl and the vehicle was a blue Ford Focus.

The girl has sustained minor injuries and anyone who witnessed what happened should call 101.
