Man taken to hospital after Lincolnshire assault

A man was taken to hospital following an assault in Lincolnshire last evening.

Police were called to Church Lane, Horncastle at 7.15 pm following reports of a disturbance.

Two men were injured, one of them is understood to have been stabbed in the leg, his injuries are not life threatening. He was taken to hospital.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, he remains in custody.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
