Eight people have been arrested and raids have taken place in London, Birmingham and elsewhere.

Jo Cox was murdered on the streets of her own constituency last year by far-right extremist Thomas Mair.

And today her family said they were 'shaken' by the incident outside parliament yesterday.

A family statement read: "We are deeply saddened and shaken by the events in London yesterday.

"We would like to send our heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, including PC Keith Palmer.

"We would also like to extend our love and support to the surviving victims, their families and anybody who witnessed or who has been affected by this horrendous attack."
