23 year old remains in police custody over East Yorks car-jackings

Detectives investigating a number of car-jackings in East Yorkshire are continuing to question a 23-year-old man.

Two robbers were reported to have threatened motorists at gun point during the incidents in which four vehicles were stolen including a postal van. It happened between 3.20am and 7.30am in Hull, Hessle and Hedon on Friday April 3.

No one was injured but the victims were left traumatised by the experience.

Humberside police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
