Pensioner's family make emotional appeal to find killer
The family of a pensioner who was killed by a hit and run driver have made an emotional appeal to try and catch the motorist who left their loved one dying in the road.
It is 10 years to the day since Bill Hendry was killed as he crossed Stockwell Lane in Knaresborough. The 75 year old had been to buy his morning paper when he was knocked down by a car.
The driver then fled the scene and has never been traced. Today his family laid flowers at the scene.
Neil Hendry, Bill's brother said: "Surely someone has the courage and decency to come forward."
