Six-year-old's bake sale for heart disease charity

A six-year-old with a heart condition is doing a charity bake sale in Guiseley today to raise money for research into the condition he has.

Marty Bishop's event will take place before Guiseley AFC's match later today.

He has the heart condition cardiomyopathy, but he refuses to let the condition slow him down.

Since his diagnosis as a baby, Marty's family has thrown themselves into fundraising for the charity dedicated to research and support into cardiomyopathy, Bucks-based Cardiomyopathy UK.

So far the Bishop family has raised £21,000 for the charity.

One of Marty's successful fundraising ideas was to create 'pet rocks' by painting and glazing pebbles he found on holiday.
