Cold Christmas for anti-fracking campaigners

Anti-fracking campaigners are entering their second week at a protest camp they have set up in North Yorkshire.

Around a dozen protestors spent Christmas at the camp at Kirby Misperton near Malton. They moved onto a field last Tuesday after they lost a court battle to block test fracking for shale gas by the company Third Energy.

The firm now has permission to drill for gas at a site around two miles away. It insists the test fracking will be safe but campaigners, like Sue Gough, claim fracking will damage the environment.
