M180 closed due to fuel spillage

Humberside Police are advising that people avoid the M180 due to a fuel spillage.

The road is closed in both directions between Junction 3 and Junction 4 to allow the safe repair of a fuel pipeline.

The force were called by British Gas at 2.21pm today reporting damage to the pipe and diversions have been put in place.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and Highways Agency are assisting with the incident.

At this time it is not clear how long the road will be closed.
