Bradford-based supermarket chain Morrisons is set to revive the Safeway brand - more than 10 years after it was shelved.

Morrisons bought the rival chain for £3billion in 2004 but its shops disappeared from the high street a year later.

It plans to revive the Safeway name to market a new fresh food range that it will sell to independent retailers next year. The food will be sourced from the supermarket's 16 UK factories.
