Watch: Banned driver in 130mph police chase through West Yorkshire

This was the moment a banned motorist led sparked a police chase as he drove at speeds of up to 130mph.

Jimmy Connors was initially picked up by an unmarked police car in the early hours of September 18 leaving his home in the high-powered Mercedes.

As they gave chase, Connors took police on a 30-minute pursuit across the M62 from Leeds to Wakefield city centre.

A police helicopter joined the pursuit, but even the pilots struggled to keep up.

Connors, of Birstall, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and having no insurance.

He was jailed for 16 months.
