Pride of Britain 2016 regional winners announced

Two individuals inspired to take action and make a difference after losing loved ones have today won Pride of Britain regional fundraiser awards.

Allen Hart from Leeds raised thousands of pounds after losing his three-year-old daughter to a rare form of cancer.

Stacy Suddaby from Hull fronted a campaign to make sure every school in her home city has emergency inhalers after her son died from an asthma attack whilst playing football.

North and West Yorkshire region

Allen Hart from Leeds lost his three-year-old daughter to a rare form of cancer.

Since then the gas engineer has raised nearly thousands of pound for a children's cancer charity and set up a free service and boiler installations to help others in similar situations.

More than 3,000 people in the industry have now joined his campaign.
