Town council Mayoral chain stolen during burglarly in Meltham

Police are appealing for witness after the Meltham Town Council mayoral chain was stolen during a burglary.

The high-value chain, which is marked with the council's name, was taken along with a 64 reg plate silver BMW M3 sports car during a raid on a house in the Meltham area overnight Friday September 30.

The chain is of high value and was in a brown leather case which has clasps on either side and is embossed with the letters MUDC-Meltham Urban District Council.
