Hammond pays tribute to lifesavers 10 years from accident
Richard Hammond has taken to Twitter to express his thanks to the people that saved his life following an accident 10-years-ago.
The TV presenter who grew up in Ripon previously told ITV Calendar he "absolutely believed" he was going to die after he was involved in a car crash at 300mph.
He was driving a jet-powered car at RAF Elvington in York in September 2006 when he careered off course and crashed.
