US Open dream over for Edmund as Djokovic eases through to quarter finals
There was no fairytale result for Kyle Edmund as world number one Novak Djokovic booked his place in the quarter-finals with a straight-sets win.
World number 84 Edmund, 21, defeated two seeds, including big serving American John Isner to reach the last 16 of a Grand Slam for the first time.
But the Briton was outclassed from the start by defending champion Djokovic, going down 6-2 6-1 6-4.
Djokovic will now face France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
