Man seriously injured after Rushbearing Festival
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a road traffic collison in Sowerby Bridge.
At about 10.10pm on Saturday, 3 September a grey Kia Cee'd was travelling along Wharf Street towards Halifax, when it was in collision with a 60-year-old man, close to Bar Francisca.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with head and leg injuries, which were initially thought to be life threatening.
His condition is currently described as critical, but stable.
The driver of the Kia, a 21-year-old man, was spoken to by officers at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or the movements of the vehicle or the pedestrian prior to it is asked to contact PC 6222 Judge at the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support team on 101, quoting log 1695 of 3 September.
