Victim bitten by dog and punched on the nose in attack

Police are investigating an incident after a woman reported being bitten by a dog in Withernsea.

The incident which happened on the morning of 29 August on Piggy Lane.

The 51-year-old woman returned a short time after to the location to try to establish who the dog belonged to.

She states she was confronted by three women, words were exchanged and one of the women then allegedly punched the victim on the nose.

Any witnesses to the woman being bitten and later assaulted are asked to come forward to police by calling 101 and referring to crime reference number 2211083. or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
