Two arrested in connection with Tommy Ward murder
Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Tommy Ward.
South Yorkshire Police say a number of warrants were executed this morning in the Aston, Ulley, and Wales areas of Rotherham and in Hackenthorpe and Stradbroke in Sheffield, in connection to the ongoing investigation.
Two men have been arrested, aged 35 and 30-years-old, on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody being questioned by detectives.
Mr Ward was found with serious injuries on the morning of Thursday, 1 October 2015, at his home on Salisbury Road in Maltby.
He was immediately taken to hospital where he remained in a critical condition for a number of months. He continued to receive medical treatment however he unfortunately died as a result of his injuries on Tuesday, 23 February this year.
