Residents in Doncaster warned not to use contaminated tap water
People in a market town in South Yorkshire have been warned not use their tap water.
High levels of bacteria have been detected in the local water supply in parts of Thorne in Doncaster.
Three thousand six hundred properties have been affected.

People in the area are being advised not to:
Drink their tap water
Cook or prepare foods with their tap water
Clean their teeth with tap water
Let their pets drink the tap water
Alternative supplies are currently being proactively delivered to residents registered by Yorkshire Water as vulnerable customers.
Bottled water for the general public is also due to be delivered to two locations in the village at approximately 7pm tonight and will be replenished throughout the weekend.

Yorkshire Water have apologised to customers and say they are working hard to identify the source of the contamination and are carrying out widespread flushing and sampling in the area.
