Bereaved mother calls for tougher sentences for drunk drivers
A mother whose son died after being hit by a speeding drunk driver is backing the latest campaign for tougher sentences for motorists who kill while breaking the law.
16 year old Jamie Still was knocked down when a speeding driver who was twice over the drink drive limit mounted a pavement in Otley, in West Yorkshire.
His mother Karen has campaigned for changes in the law since his death. Now she is supporting new calls for the government to review criminal guidelines over dangerous driving.
