Yorkshire air ambulance unveils new helicopter
Yorkshire air ambulance has unveiled its newest helicopter today saying it will save more lives across the region.
The H145 Airbus was launched this morning at a ceremony at its base at Nostell Air Support unit in Wakefield by Geoffrey Boycott a patron of the charity, Peter Sunderland the chairman and Bruce Burns, the vice chairman.
The new Airbus, which costs just under £6m, contains new bluetooth technology which monitors patients and drastically cuts down hospital admittance time.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance has helped save just under 5000 lives since it was launched in the year 2000.
