Sports Direct boss to appear before MPs at Select Committee hearing
The founder of Sports Direct is to appear in front of MPs today to face questions over pay and conditions at his Mansfield-based firm.
Mike Ashley, who has been in talks to meet MPs since March, has insisted he has nothing to hide and will defend the "good name" of his company, which has it's headquarters in Shirebrook.
The Business Select Committee has been trying to quiz Mr Ashley for months about working practices, including the use of zero hours contracts.
