Raising walls among £10m flood defence plans for Mytholmroyd
The Environment Agency has given details of plans to improve defences in Mytholmroyd following the Boxing Day floods.
About 370 properties were inundated with water following the December 26 deluge.
Raising flood walls, widening part of the River Calder and strengthening buildings on the riverbanks are among £10m plans to reduce the flood risk from the Calder and its tributaries.
Construction work on the scheme is expected to begin by the end of 2016.
