Barnsley church celebrates centenary with carpet of flowers

A parish church in Goldthorpe is celebrating its centenary by laying a huge carpet of flowers down the length of its aisle.

The flowers will represent the different parts of the church and community life.

The display has taken 30 volunteers weeks of planning and days of hard work to finish and will be on show for public today and tomorrow.
