47-year-old York man jailed for grooming and sexually assaulting teenage girl in West Yorkshire

A 47-year-old man from York who groomed and sexually assaulted a teenage girl from West Yorkshire has been jailed for six years.

Geoffrey Dunwell, 47, met his 14-year-old victim on a social media app in June 2015 and groomed her online over a period of weeks.

He later arranged to meet her and then sexually assaulted her on several occasions at locations in Ossett and Dewsbury.

Dunwell was convicted of seven offences of sexual activity with a child.
