Region gets ready to mark Queen's 90th birthday
Events are being held across the region today to mark the 90th birthday of the Queen.
Beacons will be lit in towns, cities and villages across the county this evening in honour of Her Royal Highness, who is Britain's longest-serving monarch.
Barwick in Elmet primary school near Leeds are holding a celebration day, with children and staff dressing up as royalty to attend a special afternoon tea.
The head teacher of the school says it will be a double celebration, as their school cook has just returned from a year out of school battling breast cancer.
