Vibrant parade as Sikhs celebrate Vaisakhi in Leeds
Hundreds of Sikhs have made their way through Leeds for the harvest festival marking Punjabi new year.
Vaisakhi is one of the three festivals chosen by Guru Amar Das to be celebrated by Sikhs (the others being Maghi and Diwali.) Celebrations mark the founding of the Sikh community known as the Khalsa, created on the 14th April 1699.
