Zayn Malik releases first solo album

Bradford-born Zayn Malik has released his debut solo album today, a year after he left One Direction.

The 23-year-old's release is called "Mind of Mine" and is already trending on Twitter.

His debut solo single "Pillowtalk" made it to number one in several international charts.

"Mind of Mine" was preceded by the release of lead single "Pillowtalk", which made it to top spot in a number of the international charts.

The ex-boyband member plugged the new album on Instagram and changed his Twitter profile picture to the album cover.
