Tributes paid to former Prime Minister Harold Wilson on centenary of his birth
Tributes are being paid to former Prime Minister Harold Wilson to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth.
The former Labour leader was born in Huddersfield in 1916, and attended the Royds Hall Grammar School in the town.
His son Robin Wilson is attending a series of events in his honour and will also the visit the house where he was born.
Current Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn paid his respects to Mr Wilson, who served two terms as Prime Minister from 1964 to 1976.
There are calls to create a statue of Mr Wilson in Westminster to mark the centenary.
