Unseen Britain's Got Talent audition footage released in memory of late Scunthorpe entertainer

A Britain's Got Talent audition tape featuring an entertainer from Scunthorpe who died suddenly has been released by ITV. Singer Martin Morgan passed away in July aged just 38.

He was a regular on the music scene in north Lincolnshire and auditioned for Britain's Got Talent, getting through to the second round, but his performance was never broadcast.

After his death, his friends launched a Twitter campaign asking ITV bosses to release the footage to raise awareness of sudden death from epilepsy.

Host of Britain's Got More Talent Stephen Mulhern replied to their tweets and contacted the show's executive producer.

The footage shows Mr Morgan entertaining the audience with Enrique Iglesias's Hero. His performance earns a standing ovation from the crowd, and he even gets a hug from Alesha Dixon and a kiss from David Walliams.

Amanda Holden describes his performance as "Enrique Iglesias meets David Brent" and waves him through to the second round of auditions.

On the video Mr Morgan is clearly ecstatic at his reception and describes it as "a dream come true."
