Ex-Motorhead drummer Phil Taylor dies, aged 61
Former Motorhead drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor has died, aged 61.
The musician, who's from Chesterfield, played with the British heavy metal group from 1975 to 1984 and again from 1987 to 1992. He died after being "ill for sometime" according to ex-bandmate Eddie Clarke
Motorhead frontman Lemmy has led the tributes, saying he is "devastated" over his death.
Clarke wrote on his official Facebook page:
Grammy-award winners Motorhead are perhaps best known for their single Ace Of Spades, while the fanged face that appears on their album artwork has become one of rock's most recognisable figures.
