Miners' wives match husbands' risqué charity calendar
Not to be outdone by their husbands, a group of miner's wives have made their own risqué calendar, all in the aid of charity.
Last year, a group of former miners in Maltby, South Yorkshire, stripped to their birthday suits to raise money for a memorial to the miners who lost their lives in a pit explosion in 1923.
There is already a memorial to the mining disaster, but this project hopes to fund a newer, bigger and better one.
The women, however, had a job on their hands keeping the endeavour secret from their husbands - although the men say they knew something was afoot and hatched several plots to revealing what their wives were planning.
Every page also features 92-year-old Dick Hawley, a miner for 46 years who was last year's front cover and passed away last month.
Last year's calendar has already raised £4000 and this years is expected to significantly boost the memorial fund.
