Olympian tackles new snowboarding frontier
Olympic snowboarder, Jamie Nicholls, has defied the laws of gravity once again, returning to the Snow Centre to again attempt a never before seen trick:
Jamie had an internet hit with his stunt in 2014, which had over 7 million hits online. But for 2015, the Bradford born Olympian attempted to push the boundaries even further. A brand new route around the outside of the building and past the 160m main slope saw Jamie pull of seven different tricks, including a Switch Frontside Rodeo 540 spin (a frontflip with a 540 degree spin in the air).
The Snow Centre's team worked through the night to build the run for the GB Park and Pipe snowboarder, moving tonnes of snow outside the building, shaping jumps, boxes and rails in unusual sport. The run took more than 17 hours to build, and following a 4am start, Jamie completed filming in the same morning.
