Russell Crowe rules out buying Leeds Utd

Actor Russell Crowe has ruled out a takeover of Leeds United. He caused a stir among Leeds fans earlier this year when he asked his 1.6 million Twitter followers whether or not he should buy the club.

Today he tweeted that although buying LUFC would be a "massive opportunity", he wouldn't be able to commit time to the project. He added it would be unfair to his children for him to invest.

He already owns a Sydney rugby league side.

Meanwhile, a fans' group says they respect the star's decision and appreciates the way he was looked into the matter.
