New IMAX cinema screen to open in Leeds

A new IMAX cinema screen will open at Vue Leeds Kirkstall Road at the end of July.

The 50ft wide x 27ft high IMAX screen is believed to be the first of its kind to be installed in any cinema in Leeds and boasts the most innovative and technologically advanced equipment available in cinema today.

The new theatre will open its doors to VIPs on Wednesday 29th July, with an exclusive preview of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. The film then goes on general release at the IMAX theatre on 30th July.

Every IMAX auditorium is custom-designed to bring the audience closer to the action, regardless of where they are sitting.

The new 197 seater IMAX cinema will offer three levels of seating - standard, VIP and new to Vue luxury seats - a fully reclining, wider seat.
