Bantams favourites relive 1976 FA Cup Quarter Final
Two Bradford City legends have been reliving their run in the 1976 FA Cup, the last time the Bantams reached the last eight of the tournament.
Ian Cooper and Joe Cooke were key in the fourth division side that punched above their weight to progress through the rounds. Victories against Chesterfield, third division teams Rotherham and Shrewsbury, a fourth round tie at Southern League Tooting and Mitcham and then a giant killing the current team would be proud of, defeating first division Norwich at Carrow Road. The Norwich tie was postponed twice due to illness in Bobby Kennedy's Bantams squad, drawing criticism from his opposite number in the Canaries' dugout.
After the 2-0 victory at Norwich, Bradford were drawn at home to Second Division side Southampton.
They fell to a 1-0 defeat at Valley Parade thanks to a controversial free-kick routine which was later outlawed by the Football Association.
Southampton went on to win the Cup in a final against First Division favourites Manchester United.
