ITV Calendar's Christine Talbot has been appointed an an Ambassador for Martin House hospice.

Christine joins Ryan Sidebottom, Yorkshire County cricket player and Mike Heaton, drummer in Embrace, as the first Yorkshire celebrities to sign up to the role of Ambassador for the hospice.

Now in its 27th year Martin House cares for children and young people with progressive conditions who are unlikely to reach adulthood.

The hospice focuses on the enhancement of quality of life for the child or young person and support for the whole family.
