Angry Bird: Tawny Owl chick caught out by heavy rain
A tawny owl chick was caught short in a downpour this week on a brave excursion from the nest.
The water forced the bird to ground and it was unable to take off and return to its nest.
Luckily, wildlife photographer Robert Fuller found the chick and before rescuing it and helping it dry off he managed to take some pictures.
Robert set up nesting boxes for the owls and our very own Jon Hill went to meet him shortly before the six new eggs hatched, going a long way to helping the breed reestablish itself in North Yorkshire.
Robert set up cameras in the nests and sent us footage of the moment the eggs hatched.
