Search is on for West Yorkshire sex offender

Police are appealing for information to trace the whereabouts of a Bradford man who was convicted of sex offences.

George Doulat, aged 56, who lives in Filey, was tried in his absence at Bradford Crown Court this week on charges of rape, attempted rape and sexual assault on a 19-year-old woman in Bradford in April last year.

He was convicted on all counts and sentenced to 10 years in custody. The court issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to attend for his trial.

Doulat is white, with a dark complexion, slim, about 5ft 9ins tall, with black, wavy hair and has no teeth. He has tattoos of a panther's head and a rose with 'George' on his left arm and tattoos of a swallow, two hearts and a rose on his right arm.

He is from Bradford and has various links to the area but had been living in Filey recently.

Anyone who sees him should not approach him but should contact the police immediately on 999.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police via the 101 non-emergency number.
