Cyclists take on tip challenge
It's fast and it's furious, with citycross described as a mixture of Motorcross, cyclocross and mountain biking. And competitors and spectators from all over the country converged on a former council tip in Halifax at the weekend to take part in a CityCross race event.
It saw top athletes, including silver medallist Louise Robinson - and complete novices - facing a course comprising of manmade obstacles, rubble heaps, barriers and jumps. With the Yorkshire leg of the Tour de France now less than 18 months away, cycling enthusiasts say there's already been a massive takeup of the sport.
Here event organiser Emma Osenton and Olympic silver medallist Louise Robinson explain how events like this are all helping to get more and more people on their bikes.
