Ex-Bradford footballer Collymore supports depression service
Former Bradford City player Stan Collymore is launching a funding drive to help provide an innovative service for people with depression.
The ex-striker who has previously talked of his own struggle with depression, is working with Depression Alliance on the project.
Friends In Need will link people with depression across the country via a free online and offline community.
It is designed to help alleviate the loneliness and isolation associated with the illness and is scheduled to launch next year.
To back the project Talk Sport presenter Collymore is asking people to text to donate to the campaign.
He said:
By donating to the service, people will also have the chance to enter a competition to win match-worn football shirts owned by Didier Drogba and Luis Suarez.
To donate £5 to fund the service text the word STAN to 70555. The funding campaign closes at midnight on December 16. Full terms and conditions of the service are available here.
