Painting the postbox gold in oliver's honour

Workmen have been busy painting a postbox in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, near Mansfield, gold in honour of Paralympian Oliver Hynd.

Hynd has the full set of medals, after winning a bronze in the Men’s S8 100m Backstroke and a silver in the Men’s S8 400m Freestyle. Yesterday Oliver added a gold in the SM8 200m medley.

His uncle Andy Stewart, who was watching the postbox being painted along with his son Jack, said: "I was lucky enough to go and see Oliver win his Gold Medal, it was a fantastic event in the london Aquatic centre. Very proud of both boys but Oliver's achievements are amazing."

Jack added: "We saw Oliver win a Gold Medal. It was really good because it was a great finish. We really enjoyed it. It was one of the best days we've ever had."
